They charged me an erroneous fee of $19.99 for an “Inter-City” drop off… that I’d rented one place but was dropping the car elsewhere. This wasn’t true - at all. They’ve not rectified the situation.

When I arrived to pickup I was advised that I could not use a debit card to prepay for the rental. The Hertz manager said that even thought it was prepaid with a Visa debit through Kayak, they could not honor the rental because I used a debit card instead of a credit card. She was able to make some adjustments and allow the rental with an additional $500 hold on my debit card for a $60 rental. She also informed me that if she had not been working, they would have denied the rental. I probably will not book through Kayak again based on this discrepancy.

We prepaid this rental 5 weeks in advance. When we presented to the Hertz location for the scheduled pickup, HERTZ DID NOT have an available rental. They told us other renters were not returning cars on time and they could not honor the PREPAID contract. So we were left stranded. I saw two other renters behind me in line get the same story..Hertz will not get any of my future business. Terrible business model. Could HERTZ have called us the day before or morning of the rental and warned us? At least we could have attempted other options. EPIC FAIL HERTZ

Had a horrible customer service experience at the counter (long 45 minute wait) and then had problem with booking. They offered little help or assistance at the local counter. National call center was also of no help or support -- very long wait times and poor customer service experience. In the future, we plan to use other rental car companies based on this very bad experience.

The company texted me half an hour before my reservation time, which I had already pre-paid for, telling me that they did not have any cars available. They did not automatically offer to refund me and I had to call Hertz corporate to get a proper refund.

They did not have the vehicle I ordered and could not give me one that fit my needs. I ordered a van and they tried to put me in a Kia Rio!!! So massively disappointed in how the workers at Plantside acted and how unimportant them not full-filling the confirmation. We found out when we got there, they could have called to save us the trip. Called customer service and they were not helpful at all. Only confirmed that they did not have any van for us. Worst experience of my life. I dont know if I will ever rent from Budget again.

I reserved with payment well ahead of time. ( 2 months)Got a mini van instead of the SUV that I reserved. No advance notice that a change would be made. This is my third time renting here in a just over a years time. The first was stellar. The second was good and this was so so. I wouldn’t have minded the van if it had been comfortable, but for the whole day trip to and from Florida it was a huge disappointment. Go back to Honda pilot. Those were the best . And if there is going to be a change, let the customer know in advance. As the lot was full of mini vans, I suspect this was the plan ahead of time. Must have got a deal on Plymouth voyagers.
